Description
The 2250 Horsepower B23-7 locomotive was the replacement to the U23B. Introduced in 1977, it was GE’s answer to the GP-38-2. The locomotives were delivered riding on FB-2 and AAR Type B trucks, as well as Blomberg trucks from traded in units.Over 400 units were built over the production time span.
